Volunteer

The concept of Landcare is so compatible with the Australian culture it’s hard not to get involved. It is often said that when you become a member of Landcare you don’t just inherit a new group of friends, you become part of a family. Landcare volunteers are connected via a special bond, a shared understanding and awareness that resonates through all members. Landcare volunteering imparts new skills and enables participants to be part of the solution, a chance to reverse some of the damage we have imposed. Landcare groups appreciate any time you can spare, whether an hour a week or an hour a month, or once a year during Landcare Week.

Each year, thousands of ordinary Australians make extraordinary contributions to our land and coastline, there is a volunteering activity that is right for you. Volunteering is good for everybody. The environment benefits. The community benefits. And you, as an individual will benefit – from getting a healthy dose of exercise, from meeting new people or from feeling good about your contribution to our natural resources.
