SP AusNet
SP AusNet and Landcare Australia have worked together since 2000 to fund Landcare groups to undertake on-ground revegetation and habitat enhancement works for threatened species across Victoria.
SP AusNet manages a $6.3 billion electricity and gas network that services more than one million customers in south east Australia. They understand the importance of supporting the communities in which they operate and are particularly interested in supporting community Landcare groups who undertake important conservation activity in areas near their network.
Landcare Australia is currently working with SP AusNet to help achieve their own environmental objectives as it relates to climate change. This will see some new and exciting projects implemented across Victoria. Landcare Australia’s role is to maximise results under this partnership and does this through the following activities;
- Liaise with Landcare groups to find suitable projects
- Set up staff volunteering opportunities with local Landcare groups
- Oversee Landcare activity associated with these projects
- Manage all financial transactions, reporting and auditing
- Collate all data for reporting requirements (on a quarterly basis)
- Create case study information to use in promotional activity
