Turf Australia is the representative body of the Turf industry comprising of turf producers and individual members Australia wide and has recently partnered with Landcare Australia to support a unique Junior Landcare program.

Turf Australia recognises the importance of having good quality outdoor recreation play areas for children to enjoy and is giving schools and youth groups across Australia the opportunity to win a free green makeover for their recreation area and having it laid with real turf by a professional turf grower. Playing fields, school playgrounds, golf courses, bowling greens, tennis courts, racing tracks, parks and gardens and the backyard lawn are all part of the fabric of Australian life, leisure and welfare. And in each, turf is a vital ingredient.

Turf Australia has partnered with Junior Landcare to run the Perfect Patch of Green campaign starting in May 2012, inviting schools and youth groups to describe how natural turf would enhance their environment and how their school grounds or recreational areas would benefit from a real grass makeover. By doing so, they will be in with the chance of being one of the 15 lucky schools that will be visited by a professional turf grower, who will lay real turf in their school grounds as natural grass coverage for students to enjoy.
