2010 Queensland Landcare Conference
2010 Queensland Landcare Conference:Â Landcare group project reports and displays Call for expressions of interest from Queensland Landcare Groups.
The deadline for receipt of expressions of interest is 21 May 2010
The concept behind the design and structure of the 2010 Queensland Landcare Conference is the need to focus on the sharing of land management ideas, information and experiences between on-the-ground land managers for their mutual benefit.
This will be done through:
- keynote presentations by leading land management practitioners;
- open forums in which all can share their knowledge and experiences and question the panel;
- workshops led by keynote speakers and panel members, and reports and displays of successful local landcare projects by Queensland Landcare Groups.
The aim of the Landcare Project Report section of the conference is to present eighteen projects, each dealing with a different aspect of landcare, from Landcare groups representing as wide an area of Queensland as possible.
Those selected to present reports and poster displays will be expected to do the following at the conference:
- Give a 15 minute presentation on their project,
- Mount posters in display area by Tuesday 14 September until Friday 17 September,
- Have a representative present at the display for a 25minute Q and A session.
