The Australian Association for Environmental Education has great pleasure in inviting you to the 2010 AAEE Conference. The conference will feature inspirational addresses from environmental education leaders who will lead discussion on Leading Change – Living for one planet.
This is the only event that brings together environmental educators from across Australia and surrounding regions
Highlights for the Environmental Education Community:
- Speakers, Dr Tim Flannery, Dr Carmen Lawrence, Dr Clive Hamilton and
Rod Quantock will provide stimulating perspectives on emerging environmental issues - Presentations and interactive workshops from Australia’s leading environmental educators, representing the education, environment, business/industry and community sectors
- Field Trips, including ‘debating a Bill’ at new Parliament House, exploring the new Canberra National Arboretum, a bike tour of recently constructed urban wetlands, visiting the Five Star Brindabella Business Park and many more!
- Great networking opportunities including a Welcome Reception and a special Conference Dinner at Old Parliament House
- A youth component (15 -25yrs) to share ideas and ways to go forward
- A mentoring program, encouraging interaction between youth and long term participants in environmental education
