Caring for our Country funding opportunities

Caring for our Country funding opportunities

The 2011–12 business plan is expected to be released shortly and will be calling for one to two year project proposals to deliver the Caring for our Country targets. There has been extensive consultation to seek views and feedback about the content and delivery of this business plan. As a result, the 2011–12 business plan has been drafted in a similar style and design to the previous version, with minimal structural and content changes to enhance the clarity and useability of the business plan. The next call for the Community Action Grants is expected to be released in April and will call for small projects worth between $5000 and $20,000. Further information on these funding opportunities will be available at www.nrm.gov.au

Review of Caring for our Country

Evaluation is an important part of the delivery of government programs and policies. As such the Australian Government is undertaking a review of Caring for our Country to assess progress, efficiency and effectiveness and its appropriateness as one of the Commonwealth’s key delivery mechanisms for natural resource management in Australia. Through the review, they will collect and analyse information from a range of stakeholders and other sources and an online consultative forum will shortly be available on the internet. This will be in addition to more traditional forms of engagement such as email, face-to-face meetings and paper submissions. Further information is available at www.nrm.gov.au and you can provide your ideas, suggestions and feedback to the government via email to thereview@nrm.gov.au.
