Rydges Hotels & Resorts and Landcare Australia invite guests to make a difference
Landcare Australia and Rydges Hotels & Resorts are offering all Rydges Hotel and Resort guests the opportunity to support Landcare and Coastcare volunteer groups across the country.
During the months of November 2010 and February 2011 all Rydges guests can support over 6,000 Landcare and Coastcare groups nationally by simply opting in to add $2 per night to their final bill.
“Rydges Hotels and Resorts are committed to the management and protection of Australia’s natural resources,” Rydges Hotels and Resorts Managing Director, Norman Arundel said.
“We believe that as individuals we all have the ability to make a positive difference to our collective future, and this partnership with Landcare Australia is a great opportunity for Rydges Hotels and Resorts to encourage our guests to better understand the environment they enjoy whilst travelling,” he added.
Landcare Australia CEO, Heather Campbell believes that this new initiative will help create awareness and understanding about environmental issues throughout Australia and the projects and conservation works of community Landcare and Coastcare groups nationally.
“By getting hotel guests involved in this campaign we hope guests at Rydges Hotels and Resorts will become more environmentally aware about the surroundings they enjoy whilst away from home, and leave with the knowledge that they have contributed to the work that Landcare and Coastcare volunteer groups are doing to protect and restore it nationally.”
