See what Sydney’s coast has to offer with Summerama!
Summerama: Summer Activities Program
Summerama will engage thousands of Sydneysiders to become reacquaintedwith our ocean, wetland and bush treasures as part of the Sydney Coastal Council’s Summer Activity Program. Summerama is focused on providing opportunities for Sydney communities to engage with and learn about their coastal environment. Summerama offers over 100 family-friendly coastal activities including supervised workshops, the majority of activities are free to attend and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
The activities are hosted by the Sydney Coastal Councils Group’s Member Councils and will run throughout the month of January in various locations across Sydney. All are either situated on the coast, the harbour or an estuary and include: Hornsby, Leichhardt, Manly, Mosman, North Sydney, Pittwater, Randwick, Rockdale, Sutherland, City of Sydney, Warringah, Waverley, Willoughby and Woollahra.
Summerama activities include the ever-popular Science of the Surf, coastal discovery walks, DIY home enviro workshops, rockpooling, wetland tours, surfing lessons, wildlife shows, sea kayaking tours, marine sculpture workshops.
Be Natural and Landcare Australia are proud to sponsor a great program of activities that will encourage Sydneysiders to get outdoors and engage in their local environment. The activities are about having fun, re-connecting with and protecting our glorious coastline.
